Coronado Art Gallery, Coronado Island, California
The Coronado Art Gallery is located in the heart of beautiful Coronado. The Gallery features work by the well-known artist Sue Tushingham McNary as well as works by Glenn Michael McNary and a representation of select artists. Sue Tushingham McNary, a familiar name to collectors who have discovered the tranquility, warmth and sensitivity of her etchings and oils, is known for her bright, colorful acrylics of local landmarks and florals. Glenn Michael McNary, owner of the gallery, is a rising young artist making a name for himself in “Photographic Impressionism” as well as black and white photography. Art glass, photography, watercolors, oils, acrylics and etchings in a multitude of styles and prices share the gallery with the well-stocked framing workshop.
Coronado Art Gallery carries an extensive collection of vintage photography purchased from private collections and estate sales. The custom framed postcard collection ranges from 1900 to the 1930s. Also available are reproductions of a 1893 prized photograph of an artist's painting of the stunning Hotel Del Coronado standing alone on a point of land surrounded by empty beach and ocean waves. The older pieces are framed with glass both front and back in order to read the message on the back of the card.
The Coronado Art Gallery is located on beautiful, prestigious Orange Avenue, Coronado's main avenue, three blocks from the world famous Hotel Del Coronado and the broad white sands of Coronado's mile long beach. The Gallery sells art via e-mail and telephone as well as in the gallery itself. Each order is given personal attention. We value our customers and specialize in individual service.
