This year at SeaWorld guests will experience more sensational entertainment and interactive opportunities than ever before. From spectacular shows and animal encounters to world-class thrill rides, once-in-a-lifetime experiences await SeaWorld visitors.

Animal shows include: The Shamu Adventure, where the world-famous killer whale, Shamu, Baby Shamu and crew delight guests as they interact with each other and their trainers; Dolphin Discovery, which showcases bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales in a splashy, high-energy show with some surprise comic moments; Pets Rule!, a zany, mischief-filled show where primarily shelter adopted cats, dogs, birds, and even a pig, wreak havoc on bewildered humans; Fools With Tools, which features California sea lions Clyde and Seamore, their human buddy, Ace and a couple of mischief-making otters; and, Mystique de la Mer where a breathtaking combination of humans and sea creatures, demonstrate their super-human abilities in whimsical acrobatic acts.

Other not-to-be-missed animal exhibits include: Shark Encounter, which takes guests through a tube in an underwater habitat with sharks, rays and tropical fish swimming all around; Penguin Encounter with more than 350 penguins representing six antarctic and sub-antarctic species; Wild Arctic, which combines a simulated jet helicopter ride with an Arctic exhibit featuring polar bears, beluga whales, walruses, arctic foxes and seals.

Sea World also hosts a number of thrilling attractions such as: Pirates 4-D, which introduces a fourth dimension to a pirate movie using the latest technology and special effects to tantalize the senses with sprays of water, blasts of air and other wild surprises; Shipwreck Rapids, an adventure ride which takes castaways down the rapids in nine-passenger inner tubes; and, Shamu's Happy Harbor, a 2-acre, colorful adventure playland, featuring more than 20 interactive attractions to thrill young SeaWorld guests.

For those who want to get a little closer to the animals, Sea World offers a host of close-up encounters. At the Rocky Point Preserve guests can feed the dolphins and look through underwater viewing panels to see the animals surfing and frolicking. Guests also get a chance to feed bat rays at nearby Forbidden Reef as well as seals and sea lions in their exhibit. Kids will enjoy the California Tide Pool where they can touch sea urchins, pick up sea stars and touch sea anemones, sea hares and hermit crabs in a special touch-pool. Or, Dine With Shamu where guests meet killer whale trainers and see Shamu in a whole new light.

For an even more hands-on experience, SeaWorld offers several special programs where guests can feed , touch and train Sea World animals. Programs include: Trainer for a Day where guests don wet suits and shadow a SeaWorld animal trainer for a seven-hour work shift; and, the Dolphin Interaction Program where guests can enter the water and feed, pet and even give trainer cues to these intriguing animals.
