Spreckels Park, Coronado Island

For a little time away from the beach, stroll Coronado's quiet, tree-lined streets and relax in one of the numerous grassy parks that dot the island. Spreckels Park, located on Orange Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets, is home to a Gazebo bandstand, a large playground, picnic tables, restrooms and free parking. It is also the site of the Coronado Summer Concert Series and Art-In-The-Park (see Arts and Entertainment). Tidelands Park is located adjacent to the Coronado Bridge on San Diego Bay. This park hosts Coronado Skatepark, 16,000 square-feet of concrete ramps, bowls, grinds and jumps, as well as a fitness course, an extensive children's playground, picnic tables, ball fields, restrooms and free parking. Centennial Park is a small park located on First Street and Orange Avenue. Its grassy knolls are home to gazebo seating and the original ferryboat-ticketing booth. This park also offers sweeping views of San Diego Bay and the city skyline.
